Want to be a Brand Rep? We do calls twice a year on Instagram only. You can enter in July and/or January for the following 6 month term. Entries must be from PUBLIC and ESTABLISHED accounts. We select participants based on photographic style as well as the aesthetic of your feed. If you think your feed matches our aesthetic, we hope you'll apply! It's a fun program and so coo to see your kid celebrated online!
To apply, follow us on IG @urban.baby.bonnets and watch for our call for entries. Kindly, do not tag #urbanbabybonnets in photos that do not show your child in our hats. We use the tag for promotional purposes and the extra images are confusing to clients.
Brand Rep Terms & Conditions
Please carefully read our requirements listed below and what we expect from each of our Brand Reps. Posting about us on your social media channels AND sending us lots and lots of photos are equally important and the reason we need Brand Reps such as yourselves.
Urban Baby Bonnets Brand Rep and Brand Ambassador Terms & Conditions
By becoming Urban Baby Bonnets Brand Rep or Brand Ambassador, you agree to the Terms & Conditions below.
The Contract Period
The Brand Rep or Ambassador will usually be involved for a period of 3-6 months, to be determined at time of contract. If both parties agree to continue the contract after the initial contract period, the below terms and conditions will stand on a continuation of contract. Any continuation of contract after the initial 6-month period may be terminated with 30 day written notice from the Brand Rep. Urban Baby Bonnets reserves the right to terminate the agreement at any time without explanation or notice. Most contracts begin in January or July.
Brand Rep and Ambassador Obligations
1. Brand Reps and Ambassadors must post a clear, artful, brand-appropriate photo at least once per week, each week, for the duration of the contract, showcasing Urban Baby Bonnets product(s) on their Instagram feed and Facebook page (4 times a month each, but can be same photo and caption on both). Only one of the posts may be a "flat lay." We're looking primarily for images of our products in styled use. Please post a variety of images... different clothing, light, location, etc.. The photo must be tagged using @urbanbabybonnets (FB) @urban.baby.bonnets (IG) and hashtag using #urbanbabybonnets and #noslatheringnecessary.
2. If you're a Brand REP, you agrees to send at least 5+ photos at a time, 4 times a month. Send your weekly email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you're a Brand AMBASSADOR, you should send at least 5 images, once a month to email@example.com. More is always better.
3. Brand reps are expected to make four hat purchases throughout the duration of the contract, ambassadors one purchase through the duration of the contract. Purchases can be of any amount, but we request you purchase hats since this is what we most need to see in images. If you have a special request or concern about this stipulation, please let us know. We're nice. And we try to be flexible. See below for the discount rates.
4. Follow our account and brand hashtags: #urbanbabybonnets and #noslatheringnecessary. In following these, you should Like and Comment on other people’s photos of Urban Baby Bonnets products. This is important as it helps us in the IG algorithm. If you can, replies right away (within 2-3 hours) are great (and have the biggest effect), but once every day or two, going in and liking, commenting on posts is wonderful too. There will most likely be 2-4 posts a day. You don't need to like/comment on EVERYTHING, but the more the better. Please make sure to watch our feed AND #urbanbabybonnets and #noslatheringnecessary as all of the reps/enthusiasts will be posting and it's wonderful if you're liking and commenting on each others' posts. This builds engagement for UB2, but also for each individual respectively. It will move your post up your followers feeds and help you connect with more people. Plus, we can all get to know each other a little bit, which is always fun. :-)
5. Test products and gives helpful advice on new products when necessary
6. Promote the brand on your own social media through photography and sharing/pinning:
7. Represent the brand in public, hands out business cards. Business cards will be supplied in initial product send and with each purchase.
8. Answers questions posted on social media if possible, and replies to posts/questions on FB and IG when appropriate.
9. Please re-post any promotions we run, such as sales, giveaways, etc.
*Please note: as a Brand Rep/Ambassador you are giving Urban Baby Bonnets the right to use these photographs for any and all uses we choose including but not limited to; social media, website(s), print advertising, etc.. We are likely to further edit your images. If you do not want us to edit your images to fit the branding of our site and feed, we might not be a good match.
*Please also note: As an Urban Baby Bonnets Brand Rep or Ambassador, you agree to NOT post, tag, or serve as a Brand Rep/Enthusiast for another baby/children’s headwear accessory company. If you have a question regarding a potential conflict, please email us the other company’s Instagram account and we will determine, at our sole discretion, if there is a conflict of interest. We understand that some reps work for multiple companies, and that's OK, as long as we're not competitors.
*Please remember you’re our Brand Spokespeople! We’d love for you to be excited about our brand and get all of your friends and followers excited about our products too! We’d be so thankful!
For Reps: Each time (4x a month, once a week), please send at least 5 high quality, clear, uncluttered, naturally-lit, edited (if necessary) photos of your baby with our product(s). A variety is always best. (i.e. baby in different clothing, different positions, close up, far away, etc.) Please set reminders or alarms to do this-- we do not want to chase down photos.
For Ambassadors: Each time (1x a month), please send at least 5 high quality, uncluttered, naturally-lit, clear, edited (if necessary) photos of your baby with our product(s). A variety is always best. (i.e. baby in different clothing, different positions, close up, far away, etc.) Please set reminders or alarms to do this-- we do not want to chase down photos.
We love seeing your baby’s sweet faces…please be sure your baby’s face is in the photo with our product(s).
Please use natural lighting. (i.e. next to windows, not directly in the sun is best.) Good lighting is KEY to great photos!
Please send photos from a variety of locations/backgrounds/details and with a variety of clothing choices. Essentially the same image in 4 different poses is not as useful as 4 unique images.
Photos should be artfully composed... not just your average snapshot, but something that is beautiful, unique, and appropriate to the brand.
Please refrain from having a lot of other brands' clothing or a lot of accessories in the photo as it takes away from the purpose of the photo, which is to showcase Urban Baby Bonnets products.
Please refrain from dressing your child in tees or other items that are heavily branded or have obvious characters on them. So, please no SpongeBob, Cars, Disney, or Frozen wear... simple clothing with clean modern lines works best.
Please try to send professional, clean, crisp photos for us to post. We chose YOU because we love your style and photography skills.
Please do not add any filters to the photos you send us, or, if you really love a filter, then please also send us the unfiltered image.
Sometimes, we may need to edit the colors of the photo a little bit, change highlights, blur a background, add text or choose to add a filter. Thanks for understanding; it's nothing personal... sometimes we just see something we want to accentuate in the images.
Please do not be offended if we don’t use all the photos you send us. We are thankful to have a variety of photos from you.
What Brand Reps Get In Return: This depends on the season, but at least 2 hats to start and one additional hat with each purchase and one hat at the end IF all deadlines are met.

Reps and Ambassadors will receive 30% off the retail price of their purchases. Friends of reps receive 15% off their purchases. Sale items are excluded from the promotional price.
